Late Ms. Sita Subedi served as the former President of the Blind Women Association Nepal (BWAN) from 2015 AD to 2025 AD. She worked tirelessly to promote and protect the rights of women with disabilities in Nepal in areas pertaining to access to justice, economic empowerment, leadership development and violence prevention.

For more than two and a half decades, she stood as a guardian, a source of inspiration, and a symbol of courage for women with disabilities in Nepal. Her inner strength, resilience, fearlessness, and collaborative leadership will continue to guide us, and her lifelong commitment to the disability movement will remain deeply respected and cherished by all.
